On Wednesday the Erie County Board of Elections tallied about 800 absentee ballots cast in last week’s school board election. The result: Buffalo firefighter and substitute teacher Bryon McIntyre, who had been up about 50 votes in the race for the third at-large seat on the board, dropped to fifth place. Incumbent Florence Johnson held on to her seat, joining incumbent Chris Jacobs and challenger John Licata. We talked with McIntyre immediately after the results were announced.
