On Wednesday, March 4, New York State Governor David Paterson told an audience in Niagara Falls that if presented with a bill that would remove the toll barriers on the Grand Island bridges, he would sign it. That puts fire in the eyes of activists like Grand Island's Rus Thompson, who has been making the case for several years that those tolls must go. Thompson's reasoning is all online at http://nogitolls.com/, but we asked him in to AV's video studio make the case for abolishing what he considers an onerous tax on Western New Yorkers.
