Buffalo's non-for-profit media workshop Squeaky Wheel brought Buffalo musician David Kane and late soviet film-maker Sergei Eisenstein together on the steps of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery. Kane blended his keyboard and theramin driven electronic music to the pre-talkie film imagery of a worker's strike. Nearly a century later Eisenstein's images hold true and dramatically tells a silent story as well the the Buster Keaton and Charlie Chapln comedies of the time. Kane's agile fingers and choice of music and sound delivers a modern soundtrack.
